Grab your friends and book a night of groovy fun! 🎵🪩

The Hearst PTA is extremely excited to announce the Mirror Ball coming May 4th, 2024 at the Ridge Club at City Ridge!

This year’s theme will bring us back to the 70’s with glittery dresses, bedazzled bell bottoms and maybe even a goldfish in the heel of a platform shoe! Mirror Ball attendees can expect to groove to some funky tunes while enjoying delectable appetizers, wine and beer. We'll have another great live auction and a silent online auction!

Tickets: Get down, get down and buy your tickets to The Mirror Ball HERE! We’ve seen a lot of ticketing action in the past week, so don’t wait! We don’t want anyone excluded, so if the ticket price isn’t in your family budget, please reach out to Ms. Sartin (lakeri.sartin@k12.dc.gov) to discuss options for discounted or free tickets. We also have complimentary tickets for volunteers who sign up for a shift during the event. Volunteers will help with things like guest check-in and helping at donation tables, so contact Eric Call (j.eric.call@gmail.com) if that’s you.

Donations: Auction items are coming in quickly. Do you own a vacation home that you rent out or have an item you’d like to donate to the auction? Do you know an organization that might want to sponsor the event or make a donation? Interested in hosting a Sign-up Party as an auction item (i.e. a wine and cheese night, a progressive dinner, a movie night)? Donations are tax deductible! You can enter items HERE or direct any donations, sponsorships or questions to Eric Call (j.eric.call@gmail.com).

Pre-Auction Parties

The days are getting longer and the weekends are getting more fun — it’s almost time for the annual pre-auction parties! These get-togethers are a great way to get to know other (grown-up) Hearsties better — and they’re one of the most fun ways to contribute to the upcoming auction.

From the start of March through spring break in April, there are six opportunities to meet up with other Hearst parents and staff, enjoy a night out, and help support our beloved school. You can sign up for as many parties as you wish -- or as you can get a baby-sitter for! -- and bring two bottles of wine per family to each event. One bottle goes to the party itself and one will be auctioned off at the main Mirror Ball event later this spring.

To help reinforce playground connections and support those who are new to our community, we provided the grades of each host families’ kids below -- but everyone is welcome at any and all events. Reach out to Julia at juliakrahe@gmail.com if you have questions. See details below and start signing up now!
