Enrichment Fund
Please use the "Donate" button below to contribute to the Hearst Enrichment Fund.


The Enrichment Fund is used by the PTA to fund various programs that enrich the educational experience of Hearst Students such as Field trips, Classroom supplies, After School Programs and Activities (Spanish Classes and more to come soon).  This fund is also used to continue the great partnerships Hearst has made such as Kennedy Center Partnership, First in Math and more.  We thank all who contribute to the PTA in this way.

Support Hearst while you shop!

Hearst is now signed up for a number of “pass through” fundraising programs where a percentage of your shopping proceeds from select organizations can be directed back to Hearst. The PTA asks that you sign up for these programs, conduct the shopping that you would ordinarily do, and ensure the Hearst reaps the benefits when you patronize your favorite grocery and other stores. Sign up for each is easy! Here is how:


Amazon.com
It's free -- and there are no strings attached. Simply click on the Shop at Amazon.com! link and you will be taken directly to the Amazon.com Website. Amazon.com will process your online transaction as normal and Hearst receives SchoolRewards directly from Amazon.com. Please click the link and happy online shopping.

Harris Teeter Together In Education (TIE) Program
As you shop at Harris Teeter and use your VIC card to buy select quality Harris Teeter items, a % of those purchase dollars is contributed to Hearst. (Note: if you were signed up for the 2008/09 school year, you will need to re-register for the 2009/10 year following 8/1/09)
  1. Visit the TIE website at http://www.harristeeter.com/community/together_in_education
  2. Click the “Link To Your School” button on the left hand navigation bar
  3. Fill out the on-line form including your VIC card number and school code #7437
  4. Click “Continue”, review your information and hit “Submit”

Giant A+ Bonus Bucks Program
As you shop at Giant and Giant Peapod delivery and use your Giant card, points are awarded that turn into cash percentages that are sent directly to the school.
  1. Visit the A+ website http://www.giantfood.com/our_stores/bonus_bucks/index.htm
  2. On the right hand navigation, click “Register Your Card”
  3. Fill out the on-line form which ask for the first three letters of your last name and Giant Care #
  4. Select school by using the city drop down menu or entering the Hearst code #00175
  5. Select Phoebe Hearst Elementary, hit “Submit” and then click “complete registration” .

eScrip
eScrip has over 700 merchant partners, including Safeway, Macy’s s, Eddie Bauer, etc. Participating business partners contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to Hearst. (Note: existing supporters can update their existing account by licking the “Go to My eScrip” button)
  1. Visit www.escript.com
  2. Click “Sign Up-Its Free” button
  3. Search for Hearst by group #500020522
  4. Click on “Phoebe Hearst Elementary School PTA” and the “Next” botton
  5. Fill out the registration form and click “Next”
  6. Enter your grocery and other community cards and card numbers and click  “Next”
  7. Enter the credit cards and card numbers that you use to shop and click “Next”
  8. Review your information and click “confirm” (note your supporter identification number)


One Cause/School Pop
One cause has 452 merchant partners including Target, JC Penny, LLB and eBay. Participating merchants contribute a percentage of your on-line purchases to Hearst. (Note: existing supporters can update their existing account by signing in using their existing log in information) 

  1. Visit http://www.onecause.com/schoolpop
  2. Click “Join Now”
  3. Fill out the “create an account” page
  4. Attach Hearst School ID #173049 to your account


Box Tops for Education
Box Top offers easy ways to earn cash for our school through grocery purchases, shopping online and purchasing books. There are a number of ways to participate:

  1. Clip Box Tops and place them in the Box Top Education box on the PTA table. Hearst received 10 cents per box top!
  2. Visit www.boxtops4education.com to shop at Box Tops Marketplace where up to 8% of qualifying purchases go to Hearst.
  3. Purchase books online at the Barnes & Noble Box Tops Reading Program and Hearst will receive 6% of new book and 3% of other online purchases.
