Our Mission Statement

Hearst Elementary is committed to providing all students with a rigorous curriculum integrated with exposure to the Arts. Our school is dedicated to encouraging healthy living and an appreciation for the world around us. Our staff work as a team to promote a positive atmosphere from PK through 5th grade.

HEARST GARDEN

Events that We've Done:

  • School Yard Garden Week during the week of Oct. 10-14.  Our school focus will be food scarcity and how children can help with their own two hands to reduce hunger in our community.
  • Official School Yard Garden Week Kick-Off at Sidwell Friends hosted a cooking demo for a kindegarten class. The students made pesto using fresh basil from our school garden.
