Good evening Owls!
I hope that you’ve had a lovely weekend thus far and were able to get out and enjoy the balmy weather that was forecast for today. Hopefully the sun and relatively high temps will melt the remainder of the snow piles and make everyone’s commutes that much easier this week.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you tomorrow,

News and Announcements from Central Office
Reminder: Annual Enrollment Packet Mailing
The DCPS Enrollment team, who facilitates the annual enrollment packet mailing each March, will not mail the multi-page enrollment packet to the homes of DCPS families this year. Reasons for this shift include: 1) Several thousand “undeliverable” packets; 2) lack of use by families; and 3) the growing expense of mailing. Instead, the team will send a postcard mailer to families, which will provide them with essential enrollment information and remind them to enroll starting April 1. (Note: This change will not affect the summer mailer that is sent out to families in August.) If you have questions, please contact the Enrollment team.
DCPS Study Abroad: Family Information Session (2/2)
The Global Education team is hosting a Family Information Session regarding free international travel for eligible 8th and 11th grade students. More information on the Study Abroad opportunity can be found in the attached “CKH Letter to Parents” letter. The meeting is on 2/2 from 6-8 p.m. at Eastern. Refreshments and childcare will be provided. All DCPS students and their families are encouraged to attend. Thestudent application deadline for DCPS Study Abroad is 2/15.
