A big welcome back to all of our Hearst Owl families! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful summer. This page will be updated weekly with assignments and news from the 3rd grade.

School Supply List

We are very excited to teach your children this year! These are our beginning of the year needs. We will periodically need restocking of some of these supplies. Please look for notices during the school year. Thank you in advance for all of your help with these supplies! :)

Please be sure to label your child's backpack! All other supplies will be shared within the community.
School Supplies
1 old sock (for erasing dry erase boards!)
1 pack of white copy paper
2 boxes of crayons
8 dry erase markers
1 box of broad Crayola® markers (8-16 count classic or bold colors)
1 box of thin Crayola® markers (8-16 count classic or bold colors)
12-24 #2 pencils (Dixon Ticonderoga or Staples brand preferred)
3 erasers (pink or white wedge)
1 protractor and 1 ruler

1 pair of scissors
4 glue sticks
1 package of index cards
3 composition notebooks
1 Backpack
(please be sure it is big enough for folders, and no wheels)

Household Items
2 large boxes of tissue
2 rolls of paper towels
1 bottle of hand sanitizer
1 box of plastic spoons, forks, and knives
1 package of paper plates (please no plastic or Styrofoam)
1 package of cups (approx 24)
1 box of band-aids
Girls- 1 box of gallon size food storage zipper bags
Boys- 1 box of snack size food storage zipper bags
Girls- 1 container of baby wipes
Boys- 1 container of Clorox wipes

Wish List Items
Any of the following items would be greatly appreciated!
1) Copy paper – white or colored (most desired item!!!!)
2) Cardstock paper, any color
3) Colored Construction Paper
4) Outdoor play equipment: balls (nerf or rubber), jump ropes, hula hoops
5) Floor puzzles (32-64 pieces)
6) Board Games for rainy days
7) Backup snacks to keep on hand (non perishable, please!)
