Weekly Update January 10th, 2014

Welcome back and BRRRRRR! What a brisk way to return to school!

We jumped right on this week with rich reading and math lessons throughout the building. Ms Barron’s 2nd graders read the book Thunder Cake and worked on some complex, text-based questions. Third graders worked on identifying different types of fiction and non-fiction and the differences between them. They came up with some great ideas. My favorite was a student who said “cookbook” for a non-fiction example! Smart Thinking!
