We are super excited to announce that there is a FALL ENRICHMENT SESSION that runs from September 2–November 14, 2025 (November 21st if a makeup day is needed)! Registration for the enrichment begins August 8–August 25, 2025.

‍Aftercare is also available through Communikids and DPR. CommuniKids is based at Cathedral Commons. (CommuniKids staff walk the students over from Hearst after the school day ends.) The Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR )program, part of the city’s Afternoon Access programs, is based in the Hearst Recreation Center building near the playground and offers students a variety of well-regarded programming. Communikids

The Communikids afterschool program will offer a fun-filled afterschool environment, where students in grades PK4 to 3rd can learn, develop, and practice their skills while speaking Spanish. Previous exposure to Spanish is not required.‍

DPR Recreation Center at Hearst

In addition to aftercare, the DPR Hearst Recreation Center offers a host of afterschool programs that Hearst students can participate in including basketball, soccer, volleyball, T-ball, cheerleading and more.
